Updating the Cyber-validator node is very easy! It will take you 10 minutes!
It is understood that you have Ubuntu.
Open the terminal. This is done by pressing “ctrl+alt+t”
Write at the command line (or better, to prevent mistakes, copy directly from here and paste into the command line of the terminal):
sudo su -
Click “Enter”
You will be asked to enter the password from the computer. Input password. Press “Enter”.
Write:
cd go-cyber
Click “Enter”
Write:
git reset --hard
Click “Enter”
Write:
git checkout master
Click “Enter”
Write:
git pull
Click “Enter”
Write:
make build
Click “Enter”
Write:
systemctl stop cyberd
Click “Enter”
Write (pay attention to the spaces between build/cyberdcli and /root/.cyberd/upgrade_manager/genesis/bin):
cp build/cyberd /root/.cyberd/upgrade_manager/genesis/bin
Click “Enter”
Write (pay attention to the spaces between build/cyberdcli and /usr/local/bin):
cp build/cyberdcli /usr/local/bin
Click “Enter”
Write (pay attention to the spaces between build/cyberd and /usr/local/bin):
cp build/cyberd /usr/local/bin
Click “Enter”
Write:
chmod +x /root/.cyberd/upgrade_manager/genesis/bin
Click “Enter”
Write:
cyberd
Click “Enter”
Write:
systemctl start cyberd
Click “Enter”
Here the update has passed, but we need to check everything!
Write:
cd /root/.cyberd/upgrade_manager/genesis/bin
Click “Enter”
Write:
./cyberd version
Click “Enter”
Write:
journalctl -u cyberd -f --lines 20
Click “Enter”
A bunch of text will run. So everything works!
Click “ctrl+c”. The text stops running.
Write (ATTENTION! Instead of <your_key_name> you need to enter the name of your validator!):
cyberdcli tx slashing unjail --from=<your_key_name> --chain-id euler-6
Click “Enter”
Go to https://cyber.page/heroes
We are looking for the name of our validator in the list of Heroes.
If your name is in the list of Heroes — you are a Hero!
