UPD: If you have Telegram Desktop on Windows, you have folder “tdata” in file system.
If somebody will get control on this folder (for example, send you virus to copy it), this somebody will get access to you Telegtam-account on any Windows, without any passwords and 2FA.

So, don’t use Windows! Upload Ubuntu!

I’m a little ashamed and hard to write about this, but I have to overcome myself …
Today, I lost almost all of my savings — 5 ETH…

Spoiler alert: My friend Mark’s account was hacked: https://twitter.com/UAEliFan

In general, I’ve saw a post appeared from Mark, that there is a massive distribution of Etherium. It was in the group where I gave the admin rightd to Mark.
It looks like a scam news. I write to Mark, that it looks like some kind of divorce.
Mark answers me that all the admins have already checked and received, and that he himself sent 10 ETH and received 17 ETH. (I am attaching screenshots of our chat):

Well, all my doubts disappear, if my friend writes to me that he tried it himself, and that he has got it, then everything will work out for me! Why would my friend deceive me?

I collect all my savings and transfer to ETH. Enough for 5 ETH.
I myself think that even if 10 ETH comes out of 5 ETH, then I will approach the realization of my dream — the creation of a research laboratory to find a cure for ageing! I really want to return youth to my mother, and in general, I do not want people to die of ageing…
I am sending 5 ETH to the specified address:

https://etherscan.io/tx/0xea413a6a786b68ef45684907113334f62bb234e2a3e34966ea7d7d352c749dd5

I thought to swap 68 XRT to ETH, but it’s good that something stopped me …
I‘ve sent’, but nothing comes back…

Well, I again write to Mark that I sent, but nothing comes back. He answers me that I have to wait a little, and everything will be. And then I realize that I’ve just been deceived …
I decided to see where my funds went, and they went to this address:

https://etherscan.io/address/0xe81d6fce840ab873c7bccb6c2ab15e4b6daf92c7

I look, and at this address — 55 ETH (5 of them are mine) and 247,000 USDT!
I think: “Wow, not every day I am robbed by a person who has 100 times more funds than me!”
I was writing him, tried to explain that my saving would not make him better. I asked him to return at least a part, and not to punish me for my gullibility.

During the chat, I even tried to explain to hacker, that immortality is possible!
But everything turned out to be useless …

I am attaching screenshots of the chat:

At first I think: “I’m a fool …”
And then I think: “What am I a fool? How could I guess, that my friend was hacked? I just trust my friends, and I don’t double-check what they write to me! If a friend says that everything will be clear — why should I double-check? My friend will not resent evil! “

How could I have guessed that my friend was hacked, and I’m not communicating with my friend? I spoke to him a few hours ago!
How could I avoid my mistake?

  1. When he wrote to me, that he had already sent the funds and received more back, I had to look at etherscan.io
  2. I had to ask a friend to send a video to make sure it was him.

Of course my mood isn’t excellent, but it’s just money…
I can’t say that it came easily, but it left very easily… And even to a person, who has much more than me!
In general, that’s all… Don’t repeat my mistakes!

Measure seven times — cut once!

Yesterday people from Tendermint wrote to me and said they wanted to give me a micro-grant — $500 in ATOM. For being an enthusiast and doing so much for the Ecosystem. Even in the morning I thought to distribute this grant to several less active enthusiasts from Nigeria and Sri Lanka, so that they become more active… Now I understand, that I will keep this grant to myself…
